I was looking and I saw this Dvd Player (http://www.kiss-technology.com/templates/side.asp?pid=435)
Has anyone tried any divx decoding dvd players? B)
Ebay has em too so there might be a chance you could get a good deal :D
Having a divx dvd player would be soo sweeet, but i've never seen any software for something like this..unless you just burn the divx on a data cd..hmm....
Yeah, I heard about them they play divx not many people have em though I don't think.
love to get my hands on one of those

I would wait a while.I read on the forum that although it 's meant to play all M-PEG 4 files, you need all sorts of firmware upgrades to accept the later codec like XVID.Also there are freezing problems with the different divx codecs (frame rates and fast and slow.) The more expensive model comes with the up to date firmware but when a new codec or filter comes out you have to upgrade.

How can i tell if a dvd-player will play .avi files.
Also to get a dvd player that plays .avi files, is it more expensive??? Like how much are we talking here.

Cause they say it will and it's been vouched for by users who have bought.

Philips has a DVD-player that supports DIVX 3/4/5 it has an option to update the software in the player, so maybe it will be able to play Xvid too in a while

if you change the fourcc code of the .avi from xvid to divx, will the dvd player play it as a real divx encoded content?
