When I try to download files > 10 GB , I get a disk overloaded everytime in utorrent. I have tried to format the PC, thought it was a virus. But no luck.

I dont have any anti virus, program installed.

Anyone can help? Its driving me crazy?

It's extremely unlikely that it is a virus.
The HDD is being overwhelmed by the speed of disk writing.Usually happens when you have inadequate ram on a Windows seedbox but I suppose that it could happen otherwise.
(http://filesharingtalk.com/vb3/f-bittorrent-43/t-how-avoid-disk-overloaded-seedbox-258586)It is almost always fixed by manually adjusting cache size in the advanced options of utorrent..

@Idoleyes

I'll try the thread u suggested. Its not my seedbox, its my own PC. Never had this problem before..

/edit

The thread didnt help.

Well but I think I found out, I defraged the drive and now it seems to be working fine :)

if anybody else has this problem, try the following steps...it worked for me on win XPsp3 and Win7:

Start -> Run -> taskmgr
click on process tab
View -> Select Columns check I/O Reads and I/O Writes

Now you can see how many I/O operations utorrent.exe process doing per second.
And you can test how your changes will influence to system behaivor.

in uTorrent:
Preferences -> Advanced -> Disk Cache
Check:
"Override automatic cache size and specify the size manually" set to 80MB, for example (i set it to 256MB, depends on how much RAM u got - bigger, the better)
"Enable caching of disk writes"
"Enable caching of disk reads"
"Disable Windows caching of disk writes"
"Disable Windows caching of disk reads"

Uncheck other options.

These settings helped me to reduce number of I/O operations on HDD under Win XP.
'Disable Windows caching of disk writes' and 'Disable Windows caching of disk writes'
helps to many people to resolve HDD speed problems and overload on Vista.
But price for this is memory (RAM of course), 100MB for my system is not problem.
May be 80MB is too large, try differ settings.
