Play the downloaded files on a DVD Player

I have very little experience in using bit torrent and have just joined TTi. Can someone please tell me how to play the DVDR files on a home theater DVD player? Or is it that they can be only played on the comp?

Just extract the rar files, there should be an iso file.. Burn this iso file with alcohol %120 or something. Enjoy :)
