I noticed that a few popular topics (latest movie, best Tv Series, best soundtrack, best album, fav singer, fav genre etc) are now closed. I'm just curious but is there a reason?

There has been a solid trend of users (mostly new) bumping those threads senselessly, sometimes with nothing but a smilie or a "lol". I just got fed up with coming to the board every day and seeing the same nonsense threads bumped with nonsense posts. :dabs:

if we're on the subject then i noticed i cant close my own threads anymore , is it a new mod ? and if so then why ?

Umm, except in the BT trades and giveaways sections maybe.
