Hi everyone! :)

I've been looking for something like this for quite a good time now. I did a lot of research here and I've found nothing in the forum so I decided to ask for it.

Well, I don't even know if most of you knows what I'm trying to ask here so I'll try to explain ok?

I'm a graphic designer and prepress professional.
My "graphic designer" part is well served with trackers like gfxnews.ru but when it comes to printing production softwares, it's really hard to find softwares and materials.

What I'm calling here a "printing production software"? (cause I don't really know how to call it in english :P). Think about a printed magazine: I could work it with InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator and print it, right? Yes, but a lot of softwares and work goes in turning the digital magazine into a printed material, and this is exaclty what I looking for.

A tracker, community, Newsgroups. Anything would be nice!
I searched so much that I've found a website with a lot of things... :D but it's a japonese community :pinch:

Thanks in advance :)
Also hope to find other professionals like me here! ;)

Hi and thanks for the reply!

The first link is more into graphic design =(

I think that there is no big different in requesting things in these warez foruns and in the trackers I think and I would prefer do it in the trackers... never though about it  I could try =/

I can't find those (specific) things in demonoid =( Sometimes I find only old softwares and new ones don't work in most cases =/

Check this link: http://prepress4all.blogspot.com/2008/03/download-prepress-print-rip-profile.html

This guy has everything I would say... I guess he has a place to get all of those things or he has a group that crack and releases all that stuff. :ermm:

It's almost impossible to find any other reference in the "open" internet of Enfocus PitStop Extreme 8.0, just to name one...

That's why I think that there's a place to get those things

Anyway, thanks again for your reply =)

Hi thor! Thanks for your reply!

It's prepress softwares as in "PDF or PS (postscript) manipulation and imposition softwares", RIPS (for imagesetters, platesetters and colorproof printers), calibration softwares, etc...

Don't want to extend this too much so, please let me know if this answers your question ok? :)

Thanks again

a lot of those apps listed on the blogspot page you posted are 'released' by the scene as 0day and the bigger ones as ISO. You just need to look and search on your trackers. You can also first search a predatabase to check if it really has been 'released'.

i'm also a prepress / graphic design specialist

It's good to hear that RD :D

The bad is that I'm not so sure about how I should look for those releases or even check if they were really released since I tried a lot with no luck in most cases

Would you be kind enough to give me some "tips" about all that? I'm not afraid to say that I'm still a newbie... maybe not 'that' newbie :P but I still have much to learn you know

Could you send me a PM or let me send you one?
Thanks man! :)

edit: btw, it those are really scene releases, there are some guys out there making money with it

Well most of my trackers have irc chat rooms, with various channels. Pre/dupe check channel, trace channel etc... Inside those channels you can look up if something has been released or not. Usually the pre channel will have some triggers to search. Look at the topic. !help / !dupe / !pre are some examples of commands you can send to the prebot followed by the releasename. = !dupe Enfocus*Pitstop*

There are also public pre channels (dunno where or which but they do excist). Sometimes i even try google. = Enfocus.pitstop + torrent

hope this helps you a bit.
