I saw a clip last night of David Chipperfield performing his leviatationonions routine.

I tit ye not! there was no string involved. He flew around the auditorionionimum (theatre) then guilded into a glass case upon which a glass lid was slided over the top.

He continued to float inside the case! He then walked on the underside of the lid.

He might be a greasy oik but by tit he knows his magic!

How is this done??? I demand to know immediately.

Kind Regards

Focus Supremo!!

The same way all his other big tricks are done..........

Clever craftsmen who make his props and some good editing.

Trust me ;)

because his foot is only 3 inches long, and clever camera angles make it look higher

The six inches, you mean?

I'd hope you'd be able to perform that for your wife without any assistance from us

Actually he does the tiptoe thing and they film the reaction then hoist him later on.

You will notice the cam looks over a shoulder to make it look like a person and they use a double when they hoist him up.

There are no mirrors.............just a hoist :)

@Fungly..........He supposedly made the Eifle tower vanish in front of a live audience too  See above for answer, they film the reaction to the same trick done to a lesser degree then refilm the stunt with wires etc :)

Trust me, I know about these things :D
