Ello ppl. is posting 30 second clips of mp3s on a website illegal? i know placing the full music is....but is like 30 second clips? Also if i mix songs together and post them on my website....is that illegal? :rolleyes:

(ps sorry if this is in wrong place. didnt know wether it shud be in music or lounge :blink: )

Depending on where you are in the world. Almost certainly yes.

Unless you have the copyright holders permission.

JP how about getting together and copyrighting the wheel, then sueing everyone who uses a wheel in their business. Like big record companies and such. :P

The wheel as a concept could not be the subject of copyright. Neither could the lever or many other things which are little more than naturally occurring phenomena.

Unless of course you were posting tongue in cheek in which case - excellent idea, lets.
