how do you turn the tar file into the *.avi file i want? used winrar which extracted it into loads (around 50) of rar files, a bit clueless here. cheers

A .tar tell bittorrenmt what to download. Its not the accsual download. WHat client do you have. It should be in program files> BT(cliet)>Sharedfolder.

Open WinRAR,locate the file with all the rar files in.Select the first RAR file and then extract to another folder of your choice.It will then automatically unrar all the files in that folder and you will end up with an avi in the destination folder you selected.
Remember,this must be done from within WinRAR. :)

NO he think that the .tar files are the files, and that they change when finished but its not.

.tar files are meant to be extracted into loads of .rar files.Thats what happened,he already explained mate. :)

ok, i extracted the tar file into a folder and got about 50 rar files, each(or most) of them have a uw.logistic.bin file or similar, its ment to be the film underworld. Are all the rar files ment to extract into one file? the first rar on the list just extracted on its own into the folder - it was a *.bin file
