For compatibility, IE

For its use of pure web browsing and the lack of bloatware in it as a result, Mozilla Firebird

Mozilla Firebird is cross-platform by design - It's available for use by any OS which can run the executable (I don't think there's a public OS which can't run it though)

MyIE2 has all the compatibility of Internet Explorer, but has the brilliant interface you'd expect from the better browsers.

It is based on the IE engine, so it has no problems browsing any site or using IE plugins like the GoogleBar, but it includes great features like a tabbed interface, popup blocker, content filter, mouse gestures, and so on.

Best of all, it's free.

Opera, Ie6, MYIE2, and Mozilla are all great, i have treid them all. But for some reason I like Avant (http://www.avantbrowser.com) The best. It is much like MYIE2 but i just like it better. I suggest you try it out. It has evverything you could ever want from a browser.

IE6 and Opera are my favorites :-) Opera's great for the ability to open new window's in the background and use tab's to navigate them, but IE's easier to use when it come's to dealing with cookies etc :-)

I've also got, and tried and tested, Netscape (pretty good, if a little heavy in it's feel of use, and it's got an annoying splashscreen that you can't get rid of in the latest version), SlimBrowser (use's IE's resources and add's features, similair to Opera but not as extensive, still a nice little browser though as an alternative), Mozilla Firebird (only tried that recently and got to say i'm not so keen on that one, it feel's a bit sluggish and could do with a few tweak's to the interface and option's)

Overall IE6 is still the best in my opinion, with Opera in very close 2nd place :-)

Sniper.

I don't even see where the arguement is. I just upgraded Opera 7.11 to 7.2 this morning and it's far superior to IE. Opera is faster than IE, more custimizable, and more secure.

MyIE2 shows how much RAM is available and your connection speed also!

Opera 7.20 final wo/java is 100x better than IE. And for those that think that Mozilla, Phoenix, Firebird or whatever it's called is best stay away from getting a psych. eval. That thing is continually beta, never a final version & unstable as hell.
