Lost is over. This depresses me. So I'm gonna have to find something else to watch.

I've chosen 24. Tried to watch the first season when it first came out but I only got up to about episode 12 before I said fuck that, this is shite. I still stole every episode since, as a matter of greed/OCD.

So I'm a gonna watch every episode since 12 of season 1 up to 24 of season 7. Now.

By my estimate, that's about 130 hours of TV. See youse next Christmas.

Yeah and it's lucky he met that author, he looks almost normal at times.

before watching that, i only knew that he had suddenly decided to join a cult, and had gone mental but the other band members tell a different story.

the funny thing is he's world famous and as you said "poor cunt", he probably is very poor and never felt like he was rich or wanted to be, very sad. :(

chalice
05-19-2009, 07:00 PM
I don't think he ever wanted to be rich. He just wanted to make music his way.

Those German psychos had a hand in his psychoses but the damage was already done before he met them. Sometimes acid just has a profound effect on cunts for the rest of their lives. Happened to a mate of mine in very similar circumstances, like.

He's not poor, though. He refused royalties for a long time, but not any more. And Black Magic Woman has had more than 4 million plays on radio. You're right, though. That journalist brought him back from the abyss and since then, he's put out 10 albums. So he's by no means broke.

Just a waste of talent cos he was getting ECT for years, growing his fingernails and being completely monged out to the max for several decades.

In other news I went for a walk earlier and the path went through a field of cows. Fine, I thought, they are just cows. Except they weren't. On closer inspection, as the beasties were walking up to me shaking their heads aggressively, I realised they were bulls. Lots and lots of territorial pissed-off bulls.

The hardest part was turning slowly around and walking away calmly with my back to them, rather than running at full pelt.

And for those of you who say why all the fuss, these bulls had malicious intent in their eyes.

My 11 year old monitor finally packed up yesterday. Now I have to use a small, digital screen with a borrowed VGA cable that I have to give back in an hour. :dabs:
I miss my CRT. I'm going to get another one of those.

Sexuality, certainly.

However Graves was a poet in classical sense. Heavily reliant upon the muse and whatnot. His old brain was clearly addled.

And being an English teacher, I find it impossible to believe that he hadn't already encountered Graves. (In some foxhole, trench or dugout of some description). See wot I did there?

Well, he knows graves now, in any case.

His reasoning was, that a war poet nor writing about women in an erotic sense, can only be homosexual.

I unfortunately never had the chance to read the book, I skimmed over it and read a few poems here and there.

But yes, he had been on morphine for a long time, and we all know what morphine does to the old brain.

Yeah, well, get a fucking medium and relate to the aul fucker that Graves wasn't a war poet. He just happened to write a memoir about his experiences in WWI.

Season 6 (2010)

On May 7, 2007, ABC Entertainment President Stephen McPherson announced that Lost will end during the 2009–2010 season with a "highly anticipated and shocking finale."[63] "We felt that this was the only way to give Lost a proper creative conclusion," McPherson said.[63] Beginning with the 2007–2008 television season, the final 48 episodes would have been aired as three seasons with 16 episodes each, with Lost concluding in its sixth season. Due to the writers' strike, the fourth season featured 14 episodes, and Seasons 5 and 6 will have 17 episodes each.[11]

Executive producers Lindelof and Cuse stated that they "always envisioned Lost as a show with a beginning, middle, and end," and that by announcing when the show would end that viewers would "have the security of knowing that the story will play out as we've intended."[63] Lindelof and Cuse stated that securing the 2010 series-end date "was immensely liberating" and helped the series rediscover its focus.[64] Lindelof noted, "We're no longer stalling.

My oldest cat was put down today. I'm off to dig a hole in my garden to put it in after work.

That sucks. I feel for ya. :(

My parents had to put down one of their two. She was 20 years 2 months old. Fucking great cat she was. My Mom said my Dad even cried. I've seen him cry once, in 1986, when his parents passed.

Sometimes I wonder why we have pets, knowing we'll see them pass. What the fuck are we in? Philosophy school?

Awww that's a shame benchie mate. It's always hard when pets pass away. They are such nice companions and I think we often share more of life with them than we realise.
