Soulseek, Come Back!

Soulseek has only been down one minute.... and in that minute I am going through serious withdrawl symptoms. I think im developing a nervous rash!

So to fill the void ss has left, thought i'd question who actually (out of people here) uses it and what is your soulseek name, size of collection? Do you use the kazaalite room?

I'm EzyRyder, verging on 4, 000 files (doing good since I lost everything as some know)

wuddya mean it doesnt work?.. firewalls dont make it so you cant dl, just you cant browse some users files.

http://38.115.131.131/slsk149fix.exe Is a fix for your problem with SoulSeek, just right now the server is down for some reason for everyone (or at least I think?). When installing that, make sure you back up your .cfg files (as it may replace them... then you lose all contacts).

no, you wont lose your place in line.. in fact you can probably still download and upload if you had your soulseek on and havnt turned it off. you can still directly conect with the users, just cant search or go to chat rooms.

It seems to be the last file you were downloading to continue (and uploading). After that, you stop getting anymore (or I have at least :( )

Thats the same bloody magic 8 ball which told me Lucy Liu would have my 12 children!! I still don't see the patter of tiny lucy liu feet, her hers for that matter!! :(

last time the server went down, i was able to download about 5 files, then it went back up, so im not sure how long it would last. but surely you cannot que any new songs.

it all depends on the person your downloading of pressing retry on your files. the server only helps you find files.

the thing is. soulseek will clear the upload list once disconnected for x-ammount of time, so that can't be done. (unless you stay on the ball). Or at least with me it cleared. I obviously can't speak for everyone.

You can download all the files where you've allready made a connection to the person, but you cant request any new files over the server.

I am just wondering whats the longest you lot have had? (ive heard of people having a LOT longer...)

I&#39;ve found that soulseek takes longer to start up if you&#39;ve been going to "file sharing configuration" and adding new folders that way instead of re-logging onto soulseek (if you were in a queue).
