The United States has been involved in this empire building process since approximately end of WW2; but most of it has been done secretly, it's been done by economic hit men like me

A powerful documentary about the dirty scheme of empire building in the post WW2 era:

He claims that Jaime Roldós and Omar Torrijos were both hit, but that he was persuaded to stop writing a book about his life.

If, as he claims, there were elements who were willing to kill national presidents, I think it is highly unlikely that those same elements would think twice about silencing him, permanently.

Fail!

That's a bit of a stretch, lynx.

I can think of a number of reasons why you don't kill one of your own, and then only as a last resort, which seems to be how it was done in general.

Granted not much direct evidence exsist on the plane crashes, but personally in that position, I'd rather take the train, you know, to be on the safe side...

+1, I cant help but agree.
if CIA can go through the trouble of silencing foreign leaders just coz it makes good business sense, what would prohibit them from discarding a spent cartridge? Its pure logic..

Fuzzy logic that's too easily used to dismiss arguments... Oh well :pinch:

It's not all cartoony in black and white. The bad guys don't have scars, and they don't kill people out of a necessity if it can be avoided... There's a number of reasons why they chose to pay him out. Failing to see those while at the same time applying fuzzy logic is irrational.

Interesting interview with the man, which has some logical points for you:

P.S. I hope you're actually watching the whole documentary, there's more to it than southern america.

Edit: Better intervju with J. Perkins: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yTbdnNgqfs8&feature=related
