If i were you i wouldn't bother. I've read that if a crack or suchlike is detected, TweakXP does some nasty business to your system. Really, no joke.
Is it a 30 day limit now? It used to be 50 executions which was plenty. I'd use it maybe to help tweak your system after an install, otherwise it's a waste of time anyway.

Thats a myth. It does not do anything to your system. The only thing it does is fail to function if you try and update it. And anyone with common sense would know that you shouldnt be trying to update a cracked version anyway unless the crack can be reapplied to the new version which in the case of tweak xp it cant.

The patch can mess up your system it has happened to me in the past so beware.

Get winxp manager, does pretty much the same and is on suprnova too.

Why do people insist on scaring other people off? The patch has messed up your system? <_<

How has it messed up your system? Can you be more specific. Rather than citing what you probably heard from an unreliable source can you elaborate on how it messed up "your" system.

i have never had any problems with the patch, but indeed don´t bother because the 30 exes are more then enough

I dont know about messing your system up..But what it does do if it detects a crack or u use all 30 and try and install another version is rewrite your permission policies so u cant install it again<(could be classed as messing thing up abit). But unless u use a feature regular like the utils its pointless keeping it installed.Once u've tweaked, there permanant(unless manually reset through t-xp)so u can just uninstall it after everythings set.

I myself, learned the hard way from using and trying to update this application as well.

Overall, I like it. It performs a myriad of tasks mostly from a single interface. Far better than any of these other "free" XP tweaking programs out there now, IMO. From what I use of it, it places many of the tasks that are not readily available directly off the control panel, on screen. No need to constantly remember which command to input in the "run" field every time you want to accomplish something specific.

However my problem occurred when I had tried to update from 2.0.8 to 2.0.11. Of course I was using the patch and the program immediately crashed. I have not been able to revert back to using 2.0.8 since. Not a bother really, since my system is about due to be reformatted anyway. But basic lesson is "if it is cracked and ain't broke- don't fix it".

Like someone told me, "newer is not always better". ;)

There are many more tweaking program other than Tweak XP. Use another 1 coz I used to have troubles with it. So now I use Advanced Tweak XP 2.4 n its enough for me now. I don't need anything more...

Though I must say that TweakXP 2.08 is better than other versions of it...

Thats the one I have and Ive had it for a while. There is no + amount of times that you can use it. You can execute it as many times as you want just like the full version.

For those of you who tried to install a newer version and think that it wont let you revert it back:

Just clean out your registry and then reinstall the cracked version and keep that version instead of updating.

y not just use Tweak UI ?
I had Tweak XP pro installed for a while, but I didnt' really like it.
I did use it to defrag RAM occasionally, but there are other apps that do the same.
Oh, I also used it to change the default pic in the System Properties, to a nice big image of a waffle...
but there are other ways to do that.
