Use Twitter as a P2P service to share up to 20MB with family or friends.
FileTwt is handy new file-sharing service that lets you share files with family or friends using the popular Twitter social networking and micro-blogging service.
It offers two types of FileTwts, public and private, the latter requiring registration. Registered users also get a handy dropdown list of Twitter friends to better facilitate private sharing.
Registration and use is free and it has a 20MB max file size cap. The data cap isn’t too bad if you consider it’s an easy way to share files quickly using Twitter.
The only real downside is that it shares files using Rapidshare, meaning that free users have to suffer the usual 30sec or more wait time to get a file that could just as easily be shared using Drop.io or any of the other multitude of file-hosting sites.
FileTwt’s main plus is really just the simplicity and ease of use, uploading a file for you and spitting out a nice prepackaged tweet on Twitter.
