EMERALD made a release of this film in 2005, which they created out of a series of DVD's, having tested a series of sources to see which were the best.

They reauthored parts of the film thus creating a completely original DVD, that cannot be purchased in stores (video quality-wise).

When TL made the iMBD top 250 rage back in '05 this was one of the movies that was upped there.

Unfortunately I was unable to leech it. Does anyone have access to this DVDR on any of their trackers, or if not did anyone here download this and can upload it to one of their trackers?

Have been searching for this particular flick for quite a while (since then basically) and have not been able to find it anywhere. I seek the EMERALD DVDR release.

KG has a bunch of versions, this one might be the one you're looking for:

This dvd version is digitally restaured and contains descriptions of the lost scenes... it also has a few really interesting extras: a small documentary about the restoration of the film.. and another documentary (quite interesting) about german expresionism and metropolis itself... worth seeing, enjoy.

Is there some valid reason you need to have that exact version of this movie? Or are you just being obsessive-compulsive about your dvd collection :P

Get the nfo, that way you can compare these releases with the one you are looking for feature wise, could be the same thing only that they have been renamed.

Does PassThePopcorn contain scene DVDR's?

If so, then it must be the version I'm looking for, should it say "Restored Authorized".

The reason I want this particular version is explained in my first post TSOL. It should be clear enough.

sez, the second link you provide is to an NTSC DVD9, which I would then have to re-encode into a DVD5 using DVDRB (which I can't do since I don't have enough processing power). It is closer to the version I seek though.

Well all I can say is you've been given plenty of options here, and if none are satisfying then maybe you should take it into your own hands and look somewhere where people share the same fanaticism about there movie warez. I'd think KG or TL would be good places, cause TL is the only place you've seen it and KG has some equally eccentric movie lovers.

Or try amazon (http://www.amazon.com/Metropolis-Restored-Authorized-Brigitte-Helm/dp/B00007L4MJ)
