i have a flash file that i got of the web and it look quite cool so i was gonna use it on my webpage, but i would prefer to use a gif file to keep things simple, is it possible to convert the swf into a gif somehow, or at least extract the image

How would a gif keep it simple? :blink: You embed the flash in a webpage and when the page opens, the flash loads. Isn't a gif version going to be friggen huge?

thats the swf file but the height will only be around the 100 mark so a gif file wouldnt be that big and so u dotn have to get swf, even though most people have it

You can define the size and placement in the html though and embed the flashplayer applet as well. You can even sign up for a redistributable that uploads and installs immediately from your page. No need to open a link to any other site. I think you might find that ulead cool 3D will save as flash or gif or avi but I'm not sure it will open a flash unless it's in a project file format.

i just embeded it at the size i wanted and took a screen shot, its about the same size. :)

i know, but i was just wanting to keep things a little simple, so that im not making people download flash viewer, any the gif is a small size. and u cant tell the dif, infact u cant even tell the swf is a swf, i thought it was a gif to start with

go to techtv.com and i think i saw this program that lets you extract flash files from webpages
