Hi, I just saw some screenshots of Opera...it looks pretty cool.

Anyone actually use it? Is it good? And It says like I have to buy it. Can I crack it somehow?

Thanks.

The board seems pretty split on whether it's the best or not. IMHO, yes it is. It's the fastest, most customizable, and most secure browser of the bunch.

v.7.2 was just released and it's the best yet! Cracks and serials are easily available.

i think you should give mozilla firebird a try
it's much less cluttered than opera and arguably faster

Opera is by far the best, however some web pages (not many) dont load the graphics correctly on Opera, something to do with coding.

But i also have Slim Browser that is almost identical than Opera, and actually has more features. and it works on the I.E. engine. and its free

Heres a link for the free download. Don't know the difference between the pay
or free one though.

The free version is ad supported. Not sure about the features though. And I would hardly call Opera cluttered as you can alter just about anything you want on the interface. 7.2 also has an all new rendering engine so it's even faster than before.

matter of opinion...

firebird is completely free and non-add supported...plus at default settings, it's less cluttered than opera

It is faster than most imo..but does have alot of issuse and incompatibility with alot of sites,so u'll find u keep having to revert back to another browser all the time. I tried it for a while,i now just use ie to save hassle.U can find the latest version of opera on sharereactor.com

Opera-
I've got the freebie and just realized that I can go to full screen under "view"
options. Cool. Wipes out the ads of course.

I agree, firebird seems to be the best alternative to IE. Its small and fast. Easy to add plug-ins & is skinable.....

IMO Opera 7.20 final wo/java is 100x better than IE. And for those that think that Mozilla, Phoenix, Firebird or whatever it's called is best stay away from getting a psych. eval. That thing is continually beta, never a final version & unstable as hell.
If they EVER have a final version Firebird I might try it again.

IE is crap

Firebird is more for linux distros. Tho it is made for windows too, i think its better on linux.

MyIE2 gets an error from google all the time, say invalid URL.

Opera has nothing wroung, tho some time animations are kinda fucked up. (mainly small gifs)

Opera is good and really fast. I have been using it from its version 3.xx days. it was really buggy then but now is pretty stable and fast. I would vouch for opera any day. ;)

I just started using (trying actually) mozilla firebird though and it seems pretty decent as well.

I suggest trying out opera. you wont be dissapointed. You can easily find keygens for this app at just about any crack/keygen site.

Opera claims its simply the best internet browsing experience and it is. Firebird is my backup for the few times opera has a problem with the way a page has been coded <_< it pisses me off that i have to have a third browser (MYIE2) just for windows update and the geocities webpage builder, they seem to be the only 2 pages i visit(ed) where neither opera or mozilla will work.

Opera has everything IE6 has, but is fast and relieble.

Opera runs fast and has alot of features IE doesnt, but
Some pages dont work correctly with it
Flash will crash/freeze it sometimes
Some login pages dont allow it.

Anyone tryed Avant Browser (http://www.avantbrowser.com/)?

Flash Animation Filter: More than 85% of all flash animation on web pages is advertising. These flash files are pretty large, and normally take up to 90% of the size of the page you're visiting. With Avant Browser you can save this bandwidth by blocking the download of these flash files with just one easy click. Avant Browser also provides options to block downloads of pictures, videos, sounds and ActiveX components. With these options users can control their bandwidth and speed up page loading.

Built-in Pop-up Stopper: Easily eliminate unwanted pop-up pages automatically with just one click.

Additional Mouse Functions: If you click a link in the web page with the middle mouse button, the link will be opened in a new window in the background. And there are two handy mouse gestures in Avant Browser. The first allows you to navigate backward one step by holding the right button down and then clicking on the left button simultaneously. The second allows you to navigate forward one step by reversing the buttons used: hold left, and click right.

Multi-Window Browsing: Browse multiple web pages simultaneously. All opened pages can be easily stopped, refreshed, closed or arranged with one click.

Real Full Screen Mode and Alternative Full Desktop mode: When you enable Full Screen Mode, all you see is the webspace, with no toolbars or other clutter. They are simply autohidden! Move your mouse over the top or bottom and find the toolbar and tab bar respectively. Avant Browser also provides Full Desktop Mode, which is the same as Full screen mode, but differs in that your windows task bar stays visible.

Built-in Google Search Engine: Avant Browser provides a built-in search engine, Google. Built-in search engine enables user to search for web pages, images, groups, directories, news, lyrics and software in Internet. International users will be glad to know that you can set avant to utilize any of up to 64 google mirrors by default!

Excellent user support: Excellent user support is provided via an organized, helpful forum where many of your questions have already been asked, and you can find solutions to almost all of your problems. Furthermore, you can put in your 2 cents with a special requests section where you get to influence what goes into the browser next!

Safe Recovery: If Avant Browser is closed improperly, all open web pages are saved and will be automatically reopened at next startup.

Translation: Avant Browser is available in many many languages to suit our international audience. If you your language is not available yet (see above), you can easily translate a small file and support for your native language can be included in the next version. It's quite simple.

Skins: Express your creativity by making a skin for Avant using a custom, easy to use program called Avant Browser Skin Factory, or use any of the many and varied skins made by other users.

the only thing opera doesn't do from that list of Avant's is the autohide on the full screen thing. But then it does a lot more and the odyssey skin with small icons is totally sweet.
