Hi

Well i read before half a year about reviews about hosting sites. Well hosting-ie was on top , what was said is that u get for what u pay.

So i purchased a virstual server which keeps falling every month and i need to keep emailing them support to bring it back.

Well is only me unlucky or many people suffer from them, what i think is that they put too much clients on 1 server and thats the reason my server fail down.

:dabs:

I¡'m sorry to bring bad news, but Hosting-IE is out of business. Keyweb kicked their ass off their servers yesterday in the morning (Europe time). Everything seems to point out that Hosting-IE was not paying Keyweb bills, and yesterday they just disabled all their servers. You can find more info in this WHT thread:

I just got a responds from them just a few mins ago, and they said they got an audit for illegal services.

I just payed my bill for this month, and now I'm out of a server & money.

Just got that too. oh well, time to start looking for a new seedbox provider. they're servers were hard to beat though in terms of hard drive space.

I agree about that{hard drive space}.

I'm trying to look for a new one now, but can't seem to find a dedicated server wit the specs I got from them.

If anyone can help me out I'll be grateful.

I'm willing to spend 120to150USD/hard drive space about 1TB/QuadCore/4gigs of ram or more.

BIG lie, check the WHT thread and you'll see that everything suggests Hosting-IE was not paying Keyweb's bills, and they just disabled their servers. It's just a (bad) excuse.

the server has been locked by keyweb
General reason is over usage of the traffic
official reason is illegal activityI just received that from them after I ask about my payment I just made this morning.

@ EL REY: dunno exactly where Manu is pointing at but almost everyone I know in the US is using a reseller to get hold of OVH-machines. Yet, it takes some searching since some resellers try to get a 20% margin (or even higher) on a cheap machine, let alone the more expensive ones.

Some member in some forums said:

To get your server re-instated, you need to contact keyweb.de

I am in contact with [email protected] (Manuela D`Amico)

You need to tell keyweb what your IP adress is, so they can tell you, what machine you shall pay for.

ALso keyweb offered a totally expensive server that i didnt order or need, and now i emailed them to put me a vps like it was in hosting-ie

But what i heard that keyweb dont allow torrenting..so i have to find another hosting company i guess.

what company you recommend for a low price vps ?

@silent2k8: although I am not associated with any of the advertisers/resellers here, my best bet would be fastsh.it for a decent VPS. Yet, this is my own experience and I do encourage you to look into (or contact) other companies as well.

Not directly from OVH , there are resellers , seedplace.eu , out system , strikehost
These are the plans :
http://www.ovh.co.uk/products/dedicated_offers.xml
Ask for a quote from any reseller on whichever you want , also note that most resellers buy from OVH france / portugal so these prices will be in euro not GBP

This one seems fine to me:

For the one I suggested earlier suggested most resellers will charge you ~ 180-190$ so youll have to go with SuperPlan
BestOF , would cost you ~ 100-110$ from a reseller

Makes me glad I cancelled my hosting-ie and switched to another provider on a week earlier.
