I use Vuze, with ipfilter.dat
and one cool thing is that in a click you can get access to the whole list of blocked and banned IPs.
Accidentally i clicked it today and i noticed several antip2p groups listed there as blocked IPs that weren't allowed to connect to me.
Pretty spooky, when you come to think how things are getting tighter and tighter nowadays.

by the way, i was downloading from private trackers, none of them even considered remotely hard to join in. but that means shit, i also caught few of them in some trackers you wouldn't imagine... :whistling

PS: Vuze rox.

can you check this in utorrent? I know it block peers/ips from time to time, but I'm uncertain whether it is permanent or just for the session.

did you bother to lookup the IP addresses? ipfilters are usually wildly inaccurate.

in Vuze, you can manually ban any peer permanently from your queue whenever you want. it compiles its own list.

i did. my curiosity kills me.
turned out they really belonged to the institutions they pointed to, as given in the description at www.ip-adress.com (no, it's not misspelled)

Interesting. This would be more insightful if you specified which trackers and at least what type of torrents (new xvids, etc.).

why should i ?
It's their option not to use a ip filter on the server access, therefore it's because they allow them. they are well aware of this, and everyone knows how easy it is to generate a 403 html error on IP lists you don't want to allow, ffs.

@realityhd: they ranged everything you can think of. i mostly download xvid and pc games. i won't name the trackers of course. After all, i'm only a member at demonoid.
