my website is hosted on lycos uk, i followed the guide on the lycos page how to create a favicon in ie, and also the one on daves site. but it doesnt work when i add the page to my favorites, its still a normal icon,
and ive also put <link REL="SHORTCUT ICON" HREF="http://www.mcbriens.net/favicon.ico"> in between the head sections
anyone else help witht his, or have a look see of it works witht them, as i know some browsers show it without bookmarking

what&#39;s the point of a fav icon?
no one really cares.
I guess it does make your page stand out more in fav list.

Hah&#33; Caught&#33; :P

Lycos might not support it properly, or you might not be using the right browser. Try using MyIE2.

edit: have you tried using the real address, not the .tk address? It probably won&#39;t work with .tk - check the source of the page and it should come up with a .tk loader page.

Just checked, I looked at the source and I don&#39;t think it&#39;ll work, because lycos seems to be using some sort of javascript on there that loads your page in a frame.
