Anyone tryed this?I heard has spyware??

SETI@home is a scientific experiment that will harness the power of hundreds of thousands of Internet-connected computers in the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI). You can participate by running a program that downloads and analyzes radio telescope data. There s a small but captivating possibility that your computer will detect the faint murmur of a civilization beyond Earth. Requires at least 32mb of RAM

Well technically it's spyware cause your comp is sending data to them.. but it's one of those "good" spyware because your helping someone do something good, not some spammer collecting your data for money.

so what hapens when your browser sends a request for data does that make internet explorer spyware.

i doubt seti has any spyware but just the idea of searching for alien broadcasts is just such a stupid idea that im gonna steer well clear anyway.

I dont know, i do know theres programs that show most the information that that gives. 32mb of ram is to much to just have running in the background.
