When watching 3D movies at home, what kind of 3D glasses do I need?

I'm not interested in watching anything that uses the old red/green glasses. I'd like to watch the IMAX 3D release (http://filesharingtalk.com/vb3/f-movie-nzbs-80/t-imax-deep-sea-3d-2006-ntsc-dvdr-pmm-170315/?highlight=imax)s, but do they use require the same type of clear glasses that you use in their theater or the electronic shutter glasses? :unsure:

I could be wrong but I don't think you can use the clear glasses type of 3d on a computer monitor. Only the 2color ones. :unsure:

It's for my LCD TV if that matters. :unsure:

It's gotta be possible b/c they sell the 3D movies on BluRay.

It depends on the movie. Some 3d movies use the red & blue glasses(Polar Express,Hanna Montana) others use the red & green(Journey To The Center Of The Earth,My Bloody Valentine). The polarized glasses will not work for home 3d movies. Only at the theater.

Polarized = the clear ones?
So I was right then.
I think to use the clear ones there has to be two projectors creating the image. It won't work with monitors as far as I know.
You can only use the 2-color ones like red/blue or red/green.

I know they also make shutter glasses where each side opens and closes really fast. You need a 120hz TV/monitor to use them and it breaks each side down into 60hz, making them 3D.

That all sounds like a bit too much for me. I just wondered if I could buy a $5 pair of IMAX glasses off eBay and have them work at home. I guess not tho'. Thanks.

EDIT: OH SHIT!!11 This look awesome though!1
