Damn NFO, Notepad++... For a few last years. Around September last year, I started using Notepad for the sake of cleaning OS of 3rd part applications.

I've been using good old notepad for as long as I can remember. Never saw a real need for third party app just to read .nfo files.

Most people just want to read the "install notes" you really don't need a 3rd part app for that....but I like seeing the art, and I create alot myself, a new NFO for me almost on everything I release.

Well I took the liberty and Googling it for people....

These are all the "known" NFO viewers and editiors out there:

OW MAN!, you'd lose the best part!
The best thing about .nfo files is to keep stretching the notepad until you get the artwork right... like, to get rid of that mess of characters

use programs to do that for you is like cheating, you know!

Same here. If I think an .nfo needs some attention and that it wants to feel special I'll load it up in Notepad++.

Create you desired layout in Notepad, then click save as xxx (xx is for whatever) xxxx.nfo, there ya go...and if you want to edit a nfo, just open with "notepad"....

Also, Notepad wont' display the "pretty art correctly though".
