which of these would be the best to have installed as a "self destruct" to hide my downloaded files? needs to be a "perfect" wipe...if such a thing exists, and the quicker the better
not that i will, just interested/

By Far, I've found the best to be Nortons Wipe Disk, (it's part of Nortons System Works Prog.) There is an option called "Gov't wipe" which completely and thoroughly destroys any chance of recovering erased data. I highly recommend it.

not only that, but you can make command line boot disks for doing things like that with norton . maybe someone else who reads this who has norton system works professional 2003 can explain better.
