just wanted to share a folder with my other PC's connected to network, when i try to share it from "Share" option in right click menu, i get to user selection page, but how can i add, in drop down list i see only "home group" and "everybody".
i vista i used to connect through an guest account but here even activating guest account wont let other PC to log in, it says log in right(or something) is not set.

Having the same problem. Been on XP until a few days ago and not quite familiar with Win 7 sharing yet.
It SHOULD not be hard, which it probably is'nt...hmm

This has always been confusing as hell to me, as well as sharing a printer on a wifi network =/ This stuff seems like it should be simple, maybe I'm missing something.

fixed it by disabling "password-sharing" in network security setup and then adding "every one" or a GUEST ACCOUNT to the Share-with panel.

Microsoft, having previously been vastly criticised over the security of their previous operating systems, have added more and more security with each successive version of Windows.

Unfortunately it seems that the only way to make things work properly is to turn off all the additional security...

Way to go, Microsoft :pinch:
