Yours in particular, or anyone's?

At the rate of this impotency, anyone's.

I'm sick of people "predicting" events that won't happen. They use fear as a tool to draw attention to themselves and to whatever agenda they have with little scientific merit. Case in point: http://www.bible.ca/pre-date-setters.htm

As I see it, the only way the world will *truly* end is when our middle-aged sun runs out of fuel, swell up to a red giant, engulfing the inner solar system, then exploding into extinction five billion years from now. And that's based on factual cosmic evidence.

Anyways, who would believe that the Earth would move to the center of the Milky Way? Our solar system is at the very edge of a galaxy spanning 100,000 light years. If it were to travel to the center of our galaxy from the edge, it would take 50,000 years moving at the speed of light to reach it. Since we only have three more years to go, and are still at the edge, that would appear to be a flaw in the Mayan 2012 doomsday scenario.

Plus a flood ending life?! Marine life doesn't die because of floods, and water is essential for life anyways, plus life came from the sea. Even if this were to happen, this would kick-start evolution to repopulate land.

These doomsday theories seem illogical if you take the time to think about them rationally instead taking this B.S. at face value. Even if you still believe this Mayan crap, instead of fearing it, accept it and enjoy your remaining time on Earth instead of running around screaming doomsday. It's not like life isn't short to begin with... </rant>

The only logical way for the world to end is how it did in
http://www.impawards.com/2009/posters/knowing_ver3.jpg
and that is highly unlikely. Also its interesting as to how atheist(who believe life on earth dates millions of years back)are the ones best at these end of the world conspiracy theories.

They predict the end of the world every ten years. I don't believe it really happens the next few centuries.

It was actually a typo. It's supposed to be 2021. Given how this year has been going, I believe it.

This 2012 stuff feels like so long ago... maybe we all died then and just don't know it yet.

No, when we all die, Idol won't be joining us due to his sinful sodomite ways. :noes:

In any case, the world will only end after Yahoo buys it and then shuts it down a year later, citing lack of user interest and failure to generate revenue.
