Blue Ray Drive next week.......
New Pioneer HD Plasma this weekend.
(Old Non HD Panasonic going to a happy retirment home;))
Been eyeing the "BluScene", over the last couple of weeks.......
But confused that there is'nt a defined effort from release groups to make a "standard", as to how they are gonna make "physical" BluRay releases.
IE: a similar fashion to the dvd scene.... Xvid, for the CD burning pc movie watching streamers, dvd5 for the masses, dvd9 version (of GOOD movies) for those that like that extra bit of quality and dont mind spending those few extra pennies).
:helpsmiliIn the BlueScene, we got x264 @ 720p. & x264 @ 1080p
a few BD25.... some that ar not really blueray format, but actually achvhd or something, and some bd50 that you would never burn cos the blank media is three times that of the original movies!
I DONT want to STREAM movies...... burn only.
Anyone burned BD25's? Quality opinion? (if compressed material)
Any opinion on where this whole blu thing is gonna settle>?
It dont help when your trying to "get clued up" and you read NFO's like this one----->

Burn the iso on a dvd9 and play it on the ps3 or some avchd capable
blu ray stand alone player
:naughty::naughty::naughty::naughty::naughty::naughty::naughty::naughty::naughty::naughty::naughty::naughty::naughty::naughty::naughty::naughty::naughty::naughty::naughty::shutup::shutup::shutup::shutup::shutup::shutup::shutup::shutup:
It described itself in the filename/description as a BD25, which i imagined it was a 25 gig ISO Bluray.
But then it turnes out its an "AvchD"....... which is just same as an x264, NOT bluRay format at all......., and then it says to brun on a DVD9.
Hmmm confused........... Help, opinion and guidance, would be most welcome.
Thanks To ALL!:fst:
