I have a file that's 99% complete. Emule lets you preview a file, and burn it even if there's one song not finished, if you've been waiting a long time and it stopped. Can you do this with bittorrent? My downloads go to desktop, so how would I get the file there if it's not totally done?

ask the seeder to make a new torrent with the album so you can get the last packet and complete to 100%. It's cause the seeder changed up the tags and they dont match the original torrent.

Uncheck the 'add !ut to incomplete files' in utorrent's settings and that should be just about it.
But if you hadn't done so already, just replace the !ut's with .mp3 or .m3u in the incomplete album.

Bittorrent same as utorrent? How do you ask a seeder? No add utorrent? to incomplete files in bittorrent.

Well if you're downloading off a private tracker where you need an account, you can normally pm the seeder or at least pm the uploader. If not then you could try sez' solution. I've never done what he's talking about so I can't really comment on that method.

I just have bittorrent, so I don't see where I can PM anyone.Utorrent might have where in settings I can change to mp3's, but in settings in bittorrent, there isn't a check for that. I tried opening the folder, and there are mp3's there, but I can't move them to my desktop to burn the cd. It's 99% done, so I'm stuck, unless theres a way, like emule,to preview the file(extracting it to desktop) so I can burn it.I can move a couple of songs at a time, but the rest I try to cut and paste come up with a box saying, can't move, being used by another person or program.

Stop the torrent client, you canīt move the files because they are being used.
Iīd say to copy them to another location and try them, so if you want to go on leeching or seeding you can once you re-start your client.

Thanks Nemrod, I'll try that as soon as the one file finishes.

I know when I had slow files to download I could still use them. A movie I tried to download took like 3 days to do, so on the last day of its download I started watching it and it actually finished while I was watching it. But yeah - seeder problem.

It worked. I waited for a file to finish, burned that, clicked on open folder on the other file, turned bittorrent off, then burned it, then restarted the program for the last file. Thanks
