I just started experimenting with usenet. Im am using SABnzbd+, some sites nzbs seems to work while others dont. nzbs.org has nzbs that work with SABnzbd, grabit and nzb o matic. While other nzbs (like the ones i generate here) do not seem to work with any of those clients.

here are the messages that i get from sabnzbd.

2009-08-24 18:36:47,905 WARNING [nzbstuff] Incorrect NZB file 1251152473.nzb (trying anyway)
2009-08-24 18:36:47,921 ERROR [nzbstuff] Invalid NZB file 1251152473.nzb, skipping
2009-08-24 18:36:48,937 WARNING [nzbstuff] Incorrect NZB file 1251152521.nzb (trying anyway)
2009-08-24 18:36:48,937 ERROR [nzbstuff] Invalid NZB file 1251152521.nzb, skipping

what am i doing wrong? im sure the nzbs are fine and i am missing a critical step with the "generated" nzbs.

Thanks for all the help.

Are you just clicking on create nzb that's all i do and it works for me.

yes, i click the create nzb button and save it in the same directory that i save all the others in. still nothing.

sites that offer me a download without the option to create and nzb seem to work fine.

can it be my web browser? its firefox, if that helps.

Then you have sabnzbd+ open and go to add file and browse to the file right.

What file are you trying to get i will try myself

One quick thing download a nzb.zip file and see if that helps you don't need to unzip just upload file to sabznbd and try it that way

I've used Firefox on this site ever since I joined...do you run NoScript and have scripts blocked? Or it could be due to one of your add-ons', but I wouldn't think so, I have like 40 installed

Can you right click the file go to properties and see if it's an NZB file.

Create an NZB.ZIP with firefox, then if it doesn't work upload it here as an attachment so that I can take a look. I might be able to track down what's going on, hopefully.

It was an addon!!! At first I thought it was "AlertStopper" since that prevents those annoying confirm close boxes n the more annoying pop up ads. It turns out that it was "FavLoc" that was messing things up. Favloc gives you a drop down list of your favorite folders on download menus, which is nice when you often save stuff to the same folders all the time.
