After everything that happened under 3hours, I'm determined to get a working AV program on my PC. I use to run online AV scanners because I didn't really believe in the use of AV programs.
The last 3hrs thought me good, I was infected by the Qhost trojan, then found NetSpy running on port 1033. Due to rash decisions, I ended up manually reversing the Qhost process, and resulted in deleting the wrong reg file, causing windows not to boot.
now i finally managed to get my OS running again, did another trojan scan, and found yet another 2 RATS running on open ports.
Port 1080 open. Possible trojans. Wingate
Port 5000 open. Possible trojans. Sockets de Troie, Blazer 5
I don't even run Wingate, not on my network, and I got no idea how it got there.
Sockets de Troie is a notorious RAT...
So now, I've got to find the best way, and the best version of norton AV to download.
One that gets frequent definitions update. can anyone redirect me to a good download page where I can download a good running version of norton AV with liveupdate functioning nicely as well?
