Jeff Buckley - Grace. Its an all over the place kind of album, written with a lot of pain I think.
I was thinking Temple of the Dog too. I am not sure if its all that depressing or if it just reminds me a rough patch in my life. (Listening to it now...what a great f*cking album)
I hope you cheer up man. Being down in the dumps sucks.

Yeah i love that song...i wish it could make me happy still...
but i played that song when me and my ex were having fights to make me happier again...and now playing it just reminds me of her *even though i dumped her, im still f*cked off over the whole thing*...
but thats life...American Hi-Fi is a band with great cheer up music...Especially the song *The Art Of Losing*...
Adema is great pick me up music for myself because they talked about the issues im going through...so i really love their music...
and a great CD to listen to while your depressed is A Perfect Circle - Mer De Noms :)

Leonard Cohen, Jeff Buckley, Spiritualized have already been mentioned!
Try some Mazzy Star, Sparklehorse (It's A Wonderful Life), Sigur Ros, & Grandaddy (they'll make you smile too though).
and of course, The Flaming Lips - Waitin for a Superman
