Hiya,

we will do another test today to see how the quality of the stream is. The settings are 56kbps stereo which should enable modem users too (if they are not downloading)

Please post your feedback to this topic

The link: Click here to listen (http://207.218.251.161:8000/listen.pls)

Winamp and other progs that suppoet streaming technology should work fine.

If you post feedback do it like this:

- sounds skips every x seconds
- intro worked but then there was a problem
etc

Thanks :)

Well I 'll let that guy stream for another 40 minutes (even if dance / techno) so keep it coming if it doesn't annoy you too much hehe

Thanks so far :P

skipped at 10 seconds

35 seconds

fairly good but random skipping.

The skipping may be your connection (downloading things that you cant handle another 56kbps)

Asked the "DJ" to change music to some more popular things to get more testers :)

Thanks again

i have broadband, i dont think thats the reason.

could it be that i had quite a few windows open?

TheMusicMan

That depends. If you visit a site with a 1 MB picture on it etc then it will take your connection away since the stream itself needs 56 kbps + if you download something then it will also take resources away.

56 kbps = ~ 7 KB/sec download speed

I have broadband and it skips every once in a while for me to.

I have 2-way cable. Good quality, no skips, so no real complaints. Bass can sound a little funny somtimes for songs with lower frequencies. If anything, I think the intro is a little soft/quiet. I had to turn up my speakers to hear the intro clearly, and then when the music came on, it was blasting. This also applies to the music in general. Some songs are clear as a bell, while others are softer. Nothing really major.

Btw, how does one apply to become a deejay?

Thx.

Oki test stream has ended :) Thanks for all the feedback and well... about the skipping - must be your connection if you have that problem. I did hear it here over our 2nd connection too and there was no skipping for me. I guess some people have still downloads running fast or are visiting sites that use much bandwidth / large images / flash etc.

We will have our first "test show" tomowwow at 8 PM GMT + 1 which is 7 Pm UK time) and if you want to apply for slots to stream use

KLB Radio Site (http://www.the-lounge.us/klb/)

to apply for a free slot or simply send me a PM and tell me what you want to do.

You can also submit greetings (record it - mp3 format would be great) and send it to (music AT the-lounge.us) and the DJ will play it.

You can also post music requests or suggestions :)

Thanks for testing !

Great job @ all
