OK guys so as some of you know I'm out of the loop so much in fact that my last PC pitstop overdrive test my rig was ranked top 1-3% now its at a lowely 24% I know that most of it has to do with the release of the nelhams and DDR 3,but it doesn't bother me that much really (LIES!!!)

OK so on to the question. I'm not sure which Mobo I should get I want one of these Asus Maximus Formulas but I don't know which is better or is it worth the price difference?

ASUS RAMPAGE FORMULA (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131284)

ASUS Maximus II Formula (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131319)

I am as always open to other suggestions. Also I should be forthcoming and say I'm leaning towards the Maximus Formula II without a legit reason I just think it's snazzy. Thanks for the input guys ;)

I thought we had very similar setups, D.

After not checking mine for months, I just revisited PCPitstop and still rank in the top 4%.
Maybe there's a config problem with yours as it should be scoring higher, methinks.

Yeah I have some problems....something is wrong with my setup as well :D . We do have similar rigs dude. I think your HDD is a bit better though ATM I have my OS installed on a 1 TB drive out of sheer laziness. with a few 750's as storage. Work is just too much these days damnit.

Any Idea on the x48/p45 thing at all.

Nope, none at all.

Oddly- maybe depressingly- I have no desire to upgrade hardware at all.
Old age, probably.

p45 is better in terms of overclocking also its a vfm chip to have really dont think at this point of time X48 make any sense after the launch of new i7 platform.

hmm, I am experiencing the same thing. My rig meets my current needs, and that is satisfying enough. Kind of scary...
I am excited though, my roomate just gave me $2,500 to spend on an i7 gaming system :)

Obviously it's to build it for his roommate not to build himself a computer.
