im havin more & more probs with viewing sites through IE6 (e.g. you do not have permission....) and no, it wasnt a porn site! it was a used parts locator site for my car. wtf? does all the entries in the hosts file have anything to do with this? is there a tweak i need to do for my browser? (already checked settings, theyre all default) and for anyone who posts a different browser (opera, myie) will IE need to be disabled, or will the new browser just be extra? btw, there was a post about different browsers with links, but only myie would come up, the opera link didnt go through (might have got another 'you dont have permission' message, cant remember) any help would be much appreciated, this IE6 is makin me F'n nuts! :blink:

opera is great and so is myie2, opera is more stable tho, and they will be extra, try removing the host file out for a sec and see if you can get there, i don't belive this has anything to do with browser itselfhttp://smilies.sofrayt.com/%5E/b/smiley2k.gif

thanks MM, i wasnt sure bout the host file, but had to ask. can you give a link to opera? the other one i tried didnt work....
