Anyone have recommendation about the program 'VirtualDub' ??

What kind of movie files is it capable of using or combining?

You should at least give it a go, its great for joing 2/3 disc movies together and editing for file size purposes, its so easy to use.

I haev the early version of virtualdub becaue it does asf files 1.3 I think it is

as long as you have the proper codecs installed, it can edit any AVI file. if it's unable to edit a certain AVI file, it's usually because the file uses a really obscure oddball codec that you need to do some legwork to find a virtualdub-compatible decoder for.
