Reduce Image Size

what program could i use to reduce the image size in .gif format? my avatar was disabled cause it was over the 100kb limit.

thanks, that will reduce the size of it in kb, not how big it is in length and width, right?

you can also reduce .gif sizes online at http://www.gifworks.com (also animated .gifs)
or, if you've got Windows XP, just get the Image Resizer Powertoy from Microsoft.

yep, im pretty sure photoshops capable of it, but its pretty big prog, if all you want to do is downsize, this (http://www.mihov.com/eng/ir.html) works pretty good, and its simple. if you want to get more out of a prog, get photoshop or paintshop

I use Image Resizer. (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp) You can only use it if your on XP though :)

it will reduce both file size and image size.
