FWIW, KushBlow, I consider checking post history kind of a community service. Sometimes, it is easy to miss a trade, mention of ban, or anything else that would exclude an invite-seeker. Some of the "old-timers" know things about members that do not show up in that user's post history (stuff that happened on another site, or an old member with a troubled/trading past with a new account, for example).

More sets of eyes and more information is a good thing. It helps keep the community strong.
