i'm dling a film from newsgroups
the film is split into 42 rar's (41 of them are 19.77 meg, the last is 16.7), i have rar's from .001 to .032, however, the rest of the rars have been purged from the server
this means i'm left with well over 600MB of seemingly useless rar's
usually, to preview, i would use my trick shown here (http://www.klboard.ath.cx/index.php?showtopic=69653), however, the first rar has a crc error in it :(
i can still do the trick shown above, however, only 55 seconds of the film are viewable, after that, the player closes down
i have one .rev file (sort of like a par file for winRAR), but it doesn't help, only telling me extraction is impossible
i've tried previewing the file with vlc, avipreview, avipreviewc, wmp, zoom player, powerdvd and all of them either show nothing, or 55 seconds
i've also tried splitting the avi file up into 20 meg segments, then renaming the .002 file as .001, the .003 to .002 (and so on), however, this doesn't work, i can't view the resultant file
can anyone give me any help or advice?
