I have it and haven't looked back since. I was all for a HTPC for a while and someone here told me about it ( I think it was Stoi). I finally caved in and bought one, and That combined with a WD passport 500 gig hands down is easier than any other movie playback setup I have tried, and I have tried them ALL.

As I said in another thread, once in a blue moon I will have to re-convert some audio on the 1080p releases using the included arcsoft software, but even thats a snap and then it plays fine.

I'd say go for it 100% you will not be disappointed at all dude.

Hi mate, I was very close to getting one not too long ago but went for the popcorn hour instead. There is a WD TV-2 coming out but there is no release date that I could find. Its got an ethernet port so you now have network playback which is handy, also DTS audio decoding.

The orignal does what its says on the tin but if you could wait for mk2 its a better buy id say.

Damn I didn't know there was a v 2 coming out. Yeah I'll prob go with it as well when it comes out. I like the idea of the Ethernet port. Honestly the no DTS playback hasn't bothered me that much. for $99 US I still say its a deal

I bought a WDTV along with a 1 trb hard drive and all I can say is ' fantasic' bit of kit . Out of over 800+ movies etc. it has only not recognised one film file format. My advice Don't wait "buy".
Ps. bought both off Amazon for a total of appx. Ģ125

I think itīs a good player if you have a NAS or a PC to stream the content from them. But if you need storage at the NMT thatīs not a good option.
