Hey ppl, whats the best to download, a 1.4gb DVDrip or BRrip? Both xvid!
I know that brrip have more definition but with much action this could be a problem while a dvdrip could look more smooth...

Whats you opinions?:01:

xvid is a dead codec. Run away from it as fast as possible. Only download x264 non-scene 720p and 1080p encodes

You mean that you personally downloaded only romantic movies in BRRip ?

VHS tapes Betamax were better

both DVDRips and BRRips are XViD and many times their resolution are the same so i don't see the point of BRRips at all.

EDIT: In other words, i don't understand why you would make a brrip xvid instead of a x264 rip of a bluray disc.

I personally don't find much of a difference between DVD-Rips and BR-Rips encoded in XviD. X264 is a much better option if you'd ask me. But I guess XviD is staying afloat since AFAIK there's not any standalone DVD player that's out in the market which can support the H.264 codec (but they do run DivX/XviD fine).

I would say go for x264 bluray rips if you have the hardware to notice the difference, otherwise don't bother with it at all.
