Trojans and viruses are evrywhere. Mirc is just a client. It may have more exploits than other clients such as Bitchx which is what I use. But the Irc protocol in general is ok, unless your completely dumbfounded in regard to using it.

Nevertheless if you know what your doing then you shouldnt have any problems. Good antivirus app can solve most of that.

I got the matrix trojan, witch send misc messages to people saying "would you like matrix reloaded," but what it was doing is sending the trojan to them. ;)
