I Just Tried To Install A Boot Screen From ThemeXP.org And It Fucked Up My Comp And It Wouldn't Start :( So I Used System Restore But Now All My Progs Either Don't Work Or Are Un-Cracked :(.....Some Still Work Though.....And I'm Really Angry My Comp Is Now A Complete Mess :(

excuse me for being stupid but if you could not boot up how did you do system restore?? :blink:

What do you use :Style XP?Windows Blinds? Did you veryfied the compatibilty with your application?

Wouldnt Work Now Anyway :( ive just got to cracka thew programs again(photoshop, nero 6, style xp, some more)

for next time keep a back up using norton ghost so if something like this happens you can just restore with that good luckhttp://smilies.sofrayt.com/%5E/q/diablosad.gif

Yeh :(.....anyone who can help with those cracks pm me i oculd really only find keygens and serials they wont do.....

Well i know why your computers fooked up....well for starters...stylexp or winblinds wont let u change the boot screen..so thats the problem solved


...you using "bootxp" or LogonUI Randomiser"?..what u need to look out for is installing bootscreens that were made prior to service pack 1 being released as the notsekernal(spelt wrong...lol) is completely different...there should of been a "backupline" added to your start menu in case of problems like this...read the notes on the bootscreen before u download it...dont tell me theres none cause i use the same website for my bootscreens and theres always notes with it telling you if its pre-SP1 or not

easiest boot screen editor i found was bootxp at www.bootxp.orghttp://smilies.sofrayt.com/%5E/b/smiley2k.gif

yeah...I had a boot screen trash my system once..just boot to an XP CD, go to Recovery Console, and do fixmbr.
