I have this xvid DVD rip of the movie finding nemo.How do i convert it into VCD format. I have already tried TMPGenc.At first it didnt even recognize the format.So i installed K-lite Full pack with xvid encoder.But then TMPGenc wouldnt encode the audio(128 kbps mp3 48 khz).Plus it also showed the output file to be 2.5 gb wierd cause the original file is 698 mb.

Plus in the Xvid file the frames freeze after 58050 till the end.But if u were to directly jump to 58200 the movie plays fine.Even while encoding the frozen frame repeats itself completely.Divx anti freeze only works for Divx movies.

Some body please help. :(

1. remove the bad frams
http://divxrepair.sourceforge.net/
2.set up tmpgenc correctly(if its not on your settings don't worrie, just set the values correctly that you do have)

3.try again

Dunno if this will help but:-

If you have a good quality .avi you can directly burn it to a good quality vcd using Nero 5.5.9.0. All you need to do is uninstall all codecs and install kazaalite's codec package - before you burn and it works fine, no need for encoding etc, just straight .avi to vcd

Nero Hash

File:Nero 5.5.9.0 + Serial.exe (sig2dat:///|File:Nero 5.5.9.0 + Serial.exe|Length:12461608 Bytes,12170KB|UUHash:=Ok2nsAEArZZWAiDzdRw+HfmuYdM=|)
Length:12461608 Bytes,12170KB
UUHash:=Ok2nsAEArZZWAiDzdRw+HfmuYdM=

Kazaa Codecs Hash

File:klcodec203f.exe (sig2dat:///|File:klcodec203f.exe|Length:7798213 Bytes,7615KB|UUHash:=jqa38Yry4oFlSb2UjpkLl5q5Wz8=|)
Length:7798213 Bytes,7615KB

first of all if you do a search for xvid on this forum the topic has been covered many many times ...tmpgenc converts great ,nero burns great one little step that may help decompress the audio before using tmpgenc..use vdub or my favorite avi audio decompressor(google it) the resulting file will be larger and will end in .pcm..use this file to load into tmpgenc ...another little trick is to convert a small amount then stop and check the file....I,ve also had problems with the file converting upside down..strangely if i flip it in bsplayer options it converts properly thats why i check the file..another suggestion is to download large files like movies off BT or irc the quality is much better no frozen frames ..less work..hope this helps its very late time for bed :blink:

Mate divfix dosnt remove bad frames all it can do is fix the index block and 'detect bad frames.

Mate u should only need to increase the directshow filter to 1 all the rest should be fine.Theres also no need to extract the audio unless it has some real bad frames. :D
