yes this is pretty much a stanard rule on all torrent sites...

if everyone was just a leech the whole system would collapse

It works on demonoid... It can also work on whatcd/waffles because others will want to seed to get a buffer, then use that buffer up later on other torrents seeded by other members seeding indefinately for buffer.

Ask them in IRC.

Hmm didn't think they'll disable for hit n run, isn't mentioned in their rules anyway.

Maybe they only step in if it's constant.

That doesn't sound like a few H&R. I'm guessing there is a really ugly ratio to go with that.

I let almost everything queue in Vuze and never had a problem there, so Waffles having a H&R rule I doubt.

I never thought there was a hit and run rule on Waffles either. Checked the forum and it seems there are no hit and run rules, only keeping your ratio in order.

OP, was your ratio a good one?

how about going to a corner and fucking yourself?
Try and contemplate that!
without these rules, there would not be anything such as torrent longevity, or great dl speeds on a month old release.

Yes there would. I've never seen a hit and run rule requiring one to seed for a month. People choose to seed. No set of rules will create the kind of people you see who are seeding 500 torrents (especially on a nonmusic site) that represent everything they've downloaded for the last year or so. Those people are awesome. I'm not one of those people at all.

You obviously did something, they didn't like, so I doubt it. Again this is something you should ask in the Waffles IRC support channel.

I find it very hard to believe you have been banned for only H&R.

If a tracker struggles for leechers, h&r could be seen has a good thing, being whatcd the perfect example. imo.
