i put it in to get halo. pretty much as soon as it started it downloaded at about 2k but uploaded at over 20K. i thought i might be relaying or something but how can it go faster than it goes into my pc?

Why shouldnt it be able to u/l faster than it d/l?
Maybe there arent enough seeds or just too much peers.

If you go to SuprNova and try to download something ,you get error,or file not found ,or to many leechers,or the RIIA close his mirrors............

that would be before or after k-lite??..i just finished downloading 1.4 gig off bit-torrent and it had 76 seeds and 400 peers.Line speed was a little over 2MB...real good for fast connections(not DSL or gay cable I mean)...its very much alive and kicking

Happens to me only for a few files, and you can always go to another website

make sure theres no RED writing around that says "superseed mode"..
just remember torrents dont have a very long life, so you have to get in on the download early when theres lots of "seeders" and "peers"...
As for the mirrors being down at suprnova....try this link, http://btsites.tk/

halfway down the page is a list of Suprnova mirrors, theyres always at least 2 that will work...

not neccessarily...you might of had parts that they needed..leeching is more along the lines od downloading the whole file and then stopping once its completed

It could also have been that one person was downloading from you at 20kb, your upload doesnt depend on your download.

For suprnova try http://elissa.mobilefrenzy.com/get_mirror.php its the script that gets the mirrors and I've almost allways gotten one with it.

Some of what you were uploading would of been a "request" for data from another person downloading the same file

Which tracker there isnt one main bittorrent tracker, there are many different ones.

Bittorrent is not dying, as the matter of fact is growing!!!!!

You think Suprnova is the only torrent provider but NO my friend there are lots more go HERE (http://www.torrentlinks.com) for more web pages!!!!!!

how does bit torrent actually work then? do the websites that post torrent only connect u to peers that have go through that website? or does it connect u to any peer that is usin bit torrent. for example, if i connect through website A, will sources that connect to website B be availible to me?

Also, i use a 128 cable modem, wat maxium download speed should i expect, atm i am gettin around 14kb/sec at maximum, is that bad for my connection speed?
