Does this site go down foe anyone else everyday at 10.15am to 11.15am?

Yes, and it's fucking annoying

I believe that's when the database backup is done, I've requested it changed to a more suitable time but to no avail

Are daily hour long backups necessary?

It appears so? :idunno:

I'm starting to get database errors in my email from around the same time every day (5:30am; GMT-5) almost every day, so I'm going to email the server guys and find out what's up.

Glad someone else brought this up,I thought it was just me who had this problem at that time, not all the time though. I was checking my site cos i proxy through it using https so i get ssl as FST can't afford ssl :(.And why should a backup disrupt your database, I've never had that problem, a shadow copy should solve that even online copies should be fine.

Not me, I check the site at those times...it's always been up for me....unless it's after those times, but I'm thinking those are the times I come on line in the mourning. Then again that's UK time though  so that would be like 7-8 AM here.

Hell if know, EST, I have no idea what that equates to in GMT

EST = GMT-5, so take the GMT time (10:15am) and subtract 5 hours so you get 5:15am.
I can't believe you didn't know that.

 I just read the time and skipped over the UK part, glad I'm still in bed and it's not annoying then :)

Is it running right now? (3:30PM CST)

I keep having to reload and/or getting blank pages.
