Can anyone tell me if they are gone or not?

I think they were gone for a while and old users were invites to TL via IRC but have opened back up again now.

Or am I thinking of another tracker?

I have never been a member on filelist before but recently someone mentioned to me that it was pretty good over there. If it ever comes back up i think i might jump on the bandwagon and give it a go.

:shifty: no one has invites, i guess you will have to wait for a couple off months...

ps: it is not that special, if you are, used to sct.

hm... I dont think they will ever reopen their doors really. Its more likely to never get back on again than to let other users in

From their own site, after it came back online followoing their recent downtime, they stated:

Over the coming weeks/months there will be significant upgrades and changes made to the site and we will be reopening signups somewhere at random over the coming months for a few weekends. This to infuse our userbase with new blood because this has become a necessity rather then a nice to have item.

I've been checking on and off to see if their signups DO open up so I can join up myself but haven't been lucky enough to catch them.

And before anyone mentions it, a friend has an account so I was able to read their announcement :)

Thanks for the tip. Yeah, nothing really beats sct but i always keep my eyes open to other possibilities. You never know when something you are searching for might be on said tracker.

No idea 'bout SCT, never been privileged enough  but you're right, even if you find 1 thing you like on a new tracker then it was worthwhile. I have no idea if FileList is any good, or if it is any better than any other tracker I use, but it's always worth a nosey and a looksee :D

Userbase, overall age, is much higher than in sct, and all the others...

the speeds are great, and if you have a ratio off 0,1 you won´t be banned :D

Besides that, lots off humor in the forums. Truly the best.

Looks like the site is dead and buried for good this time. Question is who pulled the plug and why?

Was just on Filelist IRC, and I quote what was said there.

Admin has converted to buddhism, which dont approve of stealing stuff on the internet, so he shut it down.

Tho I don't know whether to believe that or not.

why would they come back after months of downtime say sorry for it and promise to be bigger than ever, and then go down again?? something isn't right...hoping it is an upgrade...(wishful thinking!!)

was on the site a few months back...deleted due to inactivity back then

never fancied the site much...the "games" were kinda fun but the content back then was fairly lacking imo

Been with them for years.

Gutted when the torrents dissapeared, delighted when they came back.

But yeah, can't access site now - hopefully it will be back soon, this was one of my first private sites.
