Those of you who operate from a shared computer will undoubtedly know the downside of having to hide shit, so how or where do you hide your porn?
I rename the files and store them in less obvious places ;)

Or put it in a folder thats in a folder thats in a folder with loads of folders in it which all have loads of stuff in them :D

if i were to hide something i would say rename "sex.jpg" to "system45.dll" and wack in the system folder but then you have to remember most progs keep a list of the last files opened which would be either require regedit or open a alot of legit files afterwards i spose

yep, before I had my own cpu, I had a folder that was a notepad ext
click on it then it would take you to the good stuff.

I have no experience for this topic, but if you need to hide the porn create a "hidden" directory and store the files there. You need to rename the directory every time you access it, to prevent autosearch looking for the files. You have to delete RECENT files list. You'll need to empty the history and cookies whith NO BROWSER running. You should get a program that erases your recent DIALOG box and search history. You need to run CLEAN DISK and clean everything. You need to activate hidden files and folders into invisible mode.
Then you should be somewhat safe until you burn all of the porn onto a secret disk. Then after that, you'll have to do all of the above, due to recently accessing files. Then you have to hide the disk and label it something boring that nobody would care to look at.

There are plenty of good places to hide porn, not only on your computer but around the home as well, for instance...
The notorious 'under the bed' porn stash can be quite well hid if under your bed is as messy as mine.
Why not tape pictures to the inside of books no one likes to read (e.g. anything Stephen King will do very well)
Also(this is for the lads), hide books and pictures in your underwear drawer, just make sure you are the one who puts your clean laundry in there.
Dirty laundry baskets are good; no one will ever want to go near them.
Now (for the girls) if you like a bit of porn, where ever you keep your 'lady's things' is a good one.
Of course a good little thirteen-year-old like me wouldn't have any porn :shifty:

anyone could simply, rack up the search function and find .avi
My best bet is to hide all the pr0n in a system protected folder, there even the search function can't find it.
and better, the folder is very well hidden as well.
dllcache is a gd one, after the experiences i had installing the uxtheme.dll file.

Changing folder icons and renaming them to sound important is also a good idea. No one would try to mess with a DLL file in the Windows system folder

Put a message on your computer saying that any unauthorized access to any file which happens to show pornographic material, accidentally downloaded or otherwise, will immediately e-mail a message to the appropriate authorities. A friend told me that this works every time.

hide folders xp (http://www.fspro.net/hfxp/index.html) is one of my favorites :)
usefull for things besides p0rn too! (like christmas presents or such)
some *illegal* cracks are out there... :) lol

Hmm......Does no one encrypt their info? :ph34r: I use CryptoForge. It encrypts not just the file but the file name as well. Searchs come back negative on extensions as well as for names. :ph34r: Now, filesize is a diff story.... :rolleyes:

My family (exept my brother) doesnt know how to work computers, they wont even go through explorer because they think they would mess it up. My older brother knows a lot about computers, but he doesnt care if I have porn or anything, he even gave me a pocket calendar with a nude girl on each page. :D

What, you mean Eraser?
Just restore the files to their original location and then right-click them and select "erase".
It takes a while, so if you've got big movies it will need to be done overnight or something.

What i do to hide it is:
Make a folder, and rename it as something that relates to porn.
Example: BreathOfFire
And then have all the porn in that folder.
Have the BreathOfFire folder in somewhere secretly..
Try I386 in C Drive.

I use a freeware program called HideFolders. It works great. It does just what its name says. An easy keyboard entry hides or shows my hidden porn folders.
The recent documents list, I kill by setting it to delete when I re-boot.
But the recently used files lists in each app is a bit of a pain. Just needs some clever programmer to do that one. As an add on to HideFolders ?
By the way, it started off as an interesting and useful thread, but then it degenerated into a lot of mindless chat by immature types. It takes quite a while to wade through all the crap to get to the "meat" as it were. This thread is now 11 pages !
Why not stick to the subject and keep the jokes and oneliners to yourselves !
