How To Add In Tools

[MUSLEMAN]

ok here we go first open klite and then go to options>kl extensions options>and you will see this window

hit tools and then add and you will see this window

now enter the name of the program, in this case its videolan after that hit the browse folder tab for command line and lets go browsing. now you will see this window

hit the once folder up tab so you can go to your program folders where videolan is located ( otherwise just look and locate your videolan on your pc) now you see this window

ok hit the videolan folder and lets go inside and have a look shall wehttp://smilies.sofrayt.com/%5E/r/sgrin.gif now you see this window

ok hit the vlc exe (so we can set the path for command line) and it will appear in the file name window, once this happens hit open and you will be back at this windowhttp://smilies.sofrayt.com/%5E/b/smiley2k.gif

ok now do the same for icon and choose your working directory or just leave it empty, to add videolan to the right click menu make sure to check the box at the bottom for it and then MAKE SURE YOU HIT SAVE and you will be back here at this windowhttp://smilies.sofrayt.com/%5E/b/smiley2k.gif

now you should see the name of the tool you added in this case its videolan, AND MAKE SURE YOU HIT APPLY and you are done boss good luck and enjoy

I have a quick question about this... How would i go about setting one of these up so that Norton Antivirus 2003 scans my shared folder everytime i click the option in the tools menu? I know how to locate the program, i just dont know how to make it scan the Shared Folder automatically. Thanks in advance for any of your help!

you have to do that thru norton itself i don't use norton so i could not tell you, try our software world i'm sure some one can help you there

I have heard of videolan before, it is something simelar to avipreview, right??

avi preview only previews avi and mpg but videolan you can preview just about anything even your mp3s

Thanks for posting this MM. This is very helpful. I am going to ask a very daft question here but i have got to know. Can u explain the "work directory" and the "choosing the icon from where you wish". I dont get this.

work directory is basically where the directory where the exe is located in, for example K-dat.exe's working directory is klite folder, which means you find that exe in the klite folder(directory)

the icon just like with any other program in your desktop you can choose any icon you like from any directory that has an icon file, for example:

when you add videolan as a tool, the .ico file( the icon file) is not there for you to use as an icon, so now you can either make an .ico file for it or you can choose any .ico file from any programs or files on your pc and use that icon in place of the videolan icon

if videolan can play it you either choose to open/preview with videolan or drag and drop, i'm not quiet clear about what you are asking???

I have managed to add DK Firewall Booster to the Tools Menu. However my intention is not to have it as a tool for previewing. I want kazaa lite to auto load it as an add-on utilty (for tunneling purposes).

Could please i get some help with this?

wuzz up boss, as far as i know, there is no way to get to klite to do that for you boss, sorry

and ofcourse if you don't want it in the preview menu just don't check the box at the bottom of the add/edit window :lol:

I tried doing this with winamp but it doesnt work...Probably because winamp cant read .dat files...

your download speed depends on the # of sources for it and their upload speed, anddon&#39;t be fooled by whatyou see in the search window they are not an indication of who is available for connection so change supernodes to see if you get lucky, also use localized supernodes, also try changing ports, and lower your upload bandwidth,remove the no ip sources from your dat files and see if it helps , and if you have a router you need to get kanat
