Why dont we take a picture of an old lady or something, and put keywords related to child porn in it, kiddie porn people download it thinking its what they want, we log their ip and report it.

Might be far fetched but it might work.

Next up copy it 100s of times, rename them to all sorts of kiddie porn names, add keywords via kazaa lite, if people download them then bingo, get their ip address and isp etc and report them

Who are you going to report them to?
The law enforcement i guessing ur in USA so like the FBI or just plain old 911?

lets say you do this and the FBI/911 listens 2 you, your evidence is what? your word that this ip was dlin it off you, they wont believe you... lets say they do believe you, now they want you to show up in court and explain how you got the info ect. are you willing to do this just to catch 1 sicko.

I trully doubt you or anyone(whos not gettin paid by the government) could be bothered giving up this amount of there time + the scrutany ect recieved from hostin child porn or what ever the defending loyar say u were doing with it...

Just way to much trouble leave it to the employies of the lawenforcment agencies.

No point, that would just add to the fake files, and that is not going to stop child porn from being down/up loaded so if they like that type of stuff then let them download it.

humans it is sad - the idea is great - I think the police do it like this
some undercover agents help to get them. But it depends from cast to case...

Some of the people are really dangerous... one issue there is if you offer
them a pic. it must be illegal porn any other pict. is legal, and if you offer
an illegal one you also could be caught by police, although the idea is interesting.

But another greater idea: Just offer crazy legal funny PICS in huge amount
with keyword CHILD PORN and the real paedophiles people one time probably
would be angry cause they did not find what they want...

It’s been a long time since I’ve spoke, but there is one thing that I hate is child porn, If the RIAA is looking at IP addresses for music…etc, Who else is looking at what these people are D/Ling…for example the Child protection agency, These people aren’t stupid, I live next door to one, and they monitor Kazaa and other peer to peer sites in the U.K. for active child pornography seachers. So you perverts beware someone is watching you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I might be being a little paranoid but I think that a lot of paedophiles do swap "pictures" over networks such as kazaa but these people are already in contact and probably label their files as something completely different. I mean if I wanted to swap files that were going to get me in a lot of trouble that's how I'd do it.

Your idea, whilst well intentioned, is a non-starter for me...I'd feel very uneasy having ANY file labelled KIDDIE PORN (or anything similar) in my shared folder.

If I wanted to swap kiddie porn I would NOT use something like kazaa. I would use a ftp. That way you could password portect your files. On kazaa you never know for sure what your getting. ie. Fake file, porn, virus.

ok now, there is one problem with this idea, there is a fault in kazaa that makes out as if your downloading a file, but isn't really that file and your not downloading from the person you think you are.

what causes this problem is that kazza has been hacked for some people so it makes out as if they are sharing, when an actual fact they arn't they are referring to another ip address, it could be yours who knows.

so you could be dobbing in the wrong person, and that can get you into shit

This wouldn't hold up in court at all. For them to actually get in trouble it would have to be real kiddie porn, because even though you put a fake description there's many ways to get around that. You could say he had intent to download kiddie porn, but they he could argue that he hadn't even read the description and so on and so forth. So technically you couldn't even report him:

YOU: I caught someone trying to download kiddie porn and I got their IP.

LAW ENFORCEMENT: How did you get their IP?

YOU: They downloaded it from me, because I gave a fake description,

LAW ENFORCEMENT: So what did they download instead?

YOU: An old granny.

LAW ENFORCEMENT: Sorry, I don't think an old granny qualifies as kiddie porn.

This is one of those things you just shouldn't get involved with, no matter what. Even if you are trying your best to do a good deed. I wouldn't even tamper with that subject or any of the ideas mentioned here. Whenever that subject pops up, all the authorities see are red flags leading to you.

I reccommend to do nothing and let the professionals take care of it. I admire your cause, but follow your instincts. My instinct is a bad feeling about the whole ordeal.

The only way to shut down the exchange of kiddieporn on kazaa, is by shutting down Kazaa alltogether.

Peadophiles(& other KP-dl'rs) take advantage of what every other use does on Kazaa.

Popularity of Kazaa is related to the "anonymous" status of the users.
Because they (okay, allmost)all download illegal content.

Only effective way to spoil the fun of KP-dl's is indeed file-polution.

But for that you would have to download first.......

What i think should get priority 1 is tracking down the producers!!
